VISION &
PRIORITIES
I believe the American Dream is still alive, but it’s getting harder to reach. America is built on innovation, forward-thinking leadership, and the dignity of hard work. That dream has always defined our country. I’m running for Congress to keep that dream within reach for working families and ensure the next generation has the same chance to build a meaningful life.
01
STRONG
SMALL
BUSINESSES
Small businesses are the backbone of Washington’s 8th District. When small businesses are strong, communities are strong, workers have opportunity, and the American Dream is real.
In Congress, I will work to ensure Washington supports the people who create jobs, not just corporations with teams of lobbyists and lawyers. Local owners, not distant bureaucracies, should be empowered to make decisions that are best for their employees and communities.
That starts with lowering costs and removing barriers that hold small businesses back.
02
LOWER THE
COST
OF LIVING
Working families shouldn’t feel squeezed from every direction. Groceries cost more. Energy costs more. Housing feels further out of reach. When Washington overspends and overregulates, families pay the price.
Lowering the cost of living starts with restoring fiscal responsibility in Congress. I will support responsible federal budgeting, oppose reckless spending that fuels inflation, and push for policies that protect the long-term stability of our economy. support measures that prevent large institutional investors from crowding out families in the single-family housing market and pricing out first-time buyers. Young families deserve a real chance at homeownership not competition from Wall Street-backed investment firms.
America moves forward when families can afford to live, save, and build a future with confidence.
03
SAFE
COMMUNITIES
Families deserve safe streets and peace of mind. No parent should worry about open drug use in public parks, rising fentanyl deaths, or repeat offenders cycling through the system.
Public safety starts with supporting well-trained and properly funded law enforcement. Officers need the tools, training, and backing to do their jobs effectively and keep our communities secure
04
RESPONSIBLE
STEWARDSHIP
OF PUBLIC
LANDS
Public lands define Washington’s 8th District and deserve active care. These lands aren’t abstract to me; they are part of how my family lives and explores this place we call home.
Responsible stewardship means more than preservation. It means reducing catastrophic wildfire risk, increasing active forest management, improving maintenance of trails and access roads, and ensuring public lands remain accessible for future generations.
We can’t confuse neglect for conservation.
05
SMART
& SECURE
IMMIGRATION
America is strongest when our laws are enforced and our system works.
We need a secure border so we can stop trafficking and cartel activity and enforce immigration law consistently.
Washington’s farms, ranches, and food supply depend on a stable and legal workforce.
Immigration policy shouldn’t punish those who followed the rules or reward those who broke them. It should restore integrity, fairness, and confidence in our system

MEET SPENCER

Spencer Meline is a small business owner, husband, and father of four who was born and raised in Washington and now lives in the 8th District. He built his businesses from the ground up, gaining firsthand experience managing payroll, navigating regulations, and leading teams through growth and uncertainty. That experience shaped his understanding of how federal policy affects real employers, workers, and families.
Spencer and his wife homeschool their children, reflecting their belief that parents should play a meaningful role in education. His alternative educational path reinforced his conviction that while there are many paths to success, responsibility, discipline, and hard work are essential. Faith is central to their family and guides how they live, work, and serve their community.
Spencer has spent years hiking trails, climbing peaks, and fishing remote lakes throughout the wilderness of Washington’s 8th District. Those experiences shaped his deep appreciation for the land and his commitment to responsible stewardship of the public lands that make this region unique. Spencer is not a career politician, but a citizen who believes the next generation should inherit the same opportunities and freedoms that built this country.
THE BEST WAY TO BUILD THE FUTURE IS TO BUILD THE FAMILY
